MVP review for founders

You built the MVP.
Now you need another set of eyes.

Maybe it works but feels rough. Maybe the feature list keeps growing. Maybe you cannot tell whether the problem is UX, code, positioning, scope, or simply that you have been staring at it for too long. FounderFix reviews the whole product, not just one layer.

An MVP review should answer one thing first: what matters now?

A lot of product reviews turn into long lists of observations. That can be useful, but it can also leave a founder with twenty new tasks and no better idea what to do Monday morning.

My goal is different. I want to figure out which problems actually block the next step you care about: launching, getting your first users through the flow, improving conversion, handing the product to a developer, or deciding whether to keep building at all.

This is not a beauty contest. Ugly code can ship. Imperfect UI can ship. The question is whether the important parts work well enough for the job the MVP needs to do.

What I look at

  • Core product flow: can a new user understand the product and reach the main value without founder-level context?
  • UX friction: where do users hesitate, get lost, hit a dead end, or need an explanation that should have been in the product?
  • Scope: what belongs in this version, what can wait, and what is actively making the product harder to finish?
  • QA and implementation: obvious breakage, fragile flows, AI-generated weirdness, edge cases, and technical issues that actually matter now.
  • Positioning: does the product make sense from the outside, or only after you explain it for ten minutes?
  • Next move: what should be fixed first, what should be ignored, and what kind of help would actually move it forward?

When this is useful

Right before launch is obvious, but it is not the only good time. An outside review can be especially useful when you have been building for weeks or months and your own sense of priority is starting to blur.

It is also a good fit when an AI tool, freelancer, agency, or previous teammate got the product most of the way there and you need someone to evaluate what you actually have before spending more money on it.

Send me the MVP before the call. I review what you provide, we spend 60 minutes working through the real problem, and you leave with clear priorities plus a short written action plan. If it needs hands-on work afterward, we can scope a focused sprint.
